Definitely sounds like vaginismus to me, perhaps exacerbated by the mental pressure (after all, it's so tied to muscle tension). Breathing exercises and practice releasing pelvic muscles could be all you need to overcome the discomfort/pain, or you might need to use dilators and that might work. Personally, my vaginismus (and anxiety) are caused by CSA, which didn’t even involve my vagina at all. I developed the response due to overwhelming pain in my urethra, which my childhood brain associated with that entire area, leading to me tensing up for about 20 years straight.
